Plantation #1567 & 5067 (1948 - 1957) (crystal) - Plantation is a beautiful Heisey pattern that is based on a simple pineapple motif. The pineapple may be found embedded into the design of knobs, or stems. Flat pieces such as plates and platters incorporate a pineapple into the design on the outside surface. Each piece displays the pineapple theme. This pretty pattern consisted of nearly 100 different pieces. The blown pieces of this pattern carry the number 5067. The pressed pieces were assigned the number 1567. Plantation pieces can be found with the #516 Ivy etch. There is more of the Ivy etch available than was first thought and sales indicate that it is gaining popularity with collectors. Imperial later issued the Plantation marmalade in white milk glass. Heisey did not produce milk glass Plantation.
