  1. Depression Era Green Satin Lady Cameo Powder Jar - SCARCE

Depression Era Green Satin Lady Cameo Powder Jar - SCARCE

COMPANY / MAKER: UNKNOWN ITEM: Lady Cameo Powder Jar CIRCA: 1930s COLOR: Green Satin MEASUREMENT: 8 1/4 H. - 5 1/4" W. CONDITION: We are offering for sale a rarely found green satin Lady Cameo powder jar. This is the first decorated one that I have seen. Since these powder jars are elusive, they were probably only made for a short period of time. This striking powder jar is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. The cold paint is there, but it is worn and missing in some spots. I considered removing it, but since the decoration is unheard of I decided to let the new owner decide to keep it or not. Jars like this were filled with powder and then sold. After the powder was gone they could be re-filled, or used as jewelry or trinket boxes. Learn More
