    Company Maker: The East Liverpool Potteries Company--Early Hall China ----- Item: Early Monk Pitcher / Jug ----- Circa: 1901 - 1907 ----- Color: White / Brown, Tans, and Gold - Super Nice detail on the decal. ----- Mark: "ARBUTUS SEMI PORCELAIN PORCELAIN U.S. A. EAST LIVERPOOL POTTERIES CO. (please see the photo of the backstamp provided). ----- Measurement: 7 1/2" H., 8 1/4" W. --------- Condition: This is a piece that you won't see often, if ever again. Early East Liverpool pottery in good shape is very hard to find. This jug was created in the era when Robert T. Hall was a part of the East Liverpool Potteries company, before he opened the Hall China plant. This outstanding Monk pitcher /jug is in Undamaged Condition without chips or cracks. The glazing is nice and is is not discolored like many pieces of early East Liverpool Potteries pieces. The gold trim does have some wear which is to be expected with pieces of this age. As with much early pottery from this time period, the piece has some fine sand particles caught in the glazing. They are only on the backside of the jug and are very small. The decal has some wear on the upper right of the monks robe. All in all, this piece, which is over 100 years old is in super nice shape. Learn More

The colors are outstanding and the casserole is free of crazing. The lid of the casserole served as both a casserole lid and a pie baker. The pie plate lid has one shallow chip and one scraped area on the inside rim which is common with Watt pottery pieces and is to be expected.     Company Maker: The McKee Glass Company - Item: Tuip Vase with Sterling Overlay Third Panel Sheriffs Jury New York - Circa: 1937 - 1942 - Color: Crystal Satin with Silver Overlay - Measurement: 8 7/8" H. - 7 1/4" W. - Marks: Marked Sterling near the bottom of the Urn Decoration. The urn decoration appears on 3 sides of the vase. The fourth side of the vase has the Third Panel Jury Symbol with a Eagle on Top. The words "III Panel Sheriff's Jury" are incised into the design. - Condition: Over the years, altered versions of this beautiful tulip vase have been made by many companies. This exact vase was made by The McKee Glass Company from 1937 - 1942 which dates this lovely piece. The vase is shown in Sandra Stout's book " The Complete Book of McKee Glass" on page 100. This original catalog reprint leaves no doubt as to who made this piece. McKee sold the vase under their name without the sterling decoration. At some point they were commissioned to make the vase for the Third Panel Sheriff's Jury. It is unclear whether McKee added the Silver Overlay. It is more likely that a decorating company added the silver. For more information about the 3rd Panel Jury please check out the brief history below.
