Item Condition: This fabulous piece is in Good Used Condition. You seldom find pieces of Watt Pottery in as nice a condition as this one is. The colors are outstanding and the casserole is free of crazing. The lid of the casserole served as both a casserole lid and a pie baker. The pie plate lid has one shallow chip and one scraped area on the inside rim which is common with Watt pottery pieces and is to be expected. We have pictured the rim of lid and a close up of the area so that you can see the condition for yourself. This style casserole is hard to find and would be a great addition to any Watt collection.

Watt Apple- (1952 - Early 60s )  The Apple series was a top seller for the Watt Pottery company.  A few pieces of this country pattern has been found in many homes from that time period. Not only was the pattern attractive, it  could be used in the oven and to serve from.  Many home makers were thrilled to use lighter weight potty to replace the heavy cast iron that they had been using.  The Apple pattern had several different pattern variations. Most of the pieces made featured a single apple.  There is an apple with "Two-Leaf "pattern, and apple with a "Three-Leaf "design. The single apple design can also be found on some pieces, with a Watt Apple Bowl Bottom Inside"Heart Shaped Apple" without leaf stems.  In addition to the single apple pattern, pieces can be found with the "Double Apple" pattern.  All of these pieces were designed to coordinate together giving the customer a wide variety of different pieces to add to their kitchen space.  Another Apple pattern was also made.  This pattern was called Open Apple.  The Open Apple pieces  feature an open Apple that appears to cut in half showing the inside of the apple.  This design also works well with the other apple pattern variations.
