Item: Westmoreland 1854-2 Chocolate Box

Description / About: Westmoreland 1854-2 Chocolate Box - 4 3/4 H. - 6 1/2" W.

Item Condition: This lovely 1854-2 Westmoreland early chocolate or candy box is in exceptional condition. This wonderful item is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. This candy box is 85 to 100 years old and the hand painting is still completely intact. Although the painting is beautiful and the colors are amazing, the white trim has dulled slightly with age, so I imagine the colored areas have too, although it still looks perfect to me. A good cleaning might make the colors more vivid, but I was reluctant to try. This is an early piece of Westmoreland that would be a great addition for a serious Westmoreland collector.
