  1. Paden City / Barth Art RARE Rearing Horse Figures

Paden City / Barth Art RARE Rearing Horse Figures

COMPANY / MAKER: Paden City ITEM: Barth Art Rearing Horse Figures CIRCA: 1940s COLOR: Crystal MEASUREMENT: 9 3/4" H. - 5 1/2" W. CONDITION: Our beautiful stylized Horse figures were made by The Paden City Glass Company in the 1940s from a Barth Art mold. These figures are considered to be SCARCE. In the 1940s Paden City did some specialty items for Harry Barth who owned the Barth Art Company and these figures were one of the offerings. This beautiful horse figure is shown in the book "Glass Animals" by Dick and Pat Spencer on page 185. We have triple checked these figures and found them to be in UNDAMAGED CONDITION without chips, cracks, or major mold damage. The bottoms are not ground and polished. There are, as always, with items of this size a few small bubbles caught within the glass, and a few fine scratches on the bottoms. The only notable mention that we can see is that both of the figures have about an inch shear mark toward the back of the one side of the head. We have enhanced this area and provided you with a closeup photograph. This is not damage and is very common in pieces of glass that are this weight and size. Learn More

  4. Paden City Deep Amber Glass #210 Napkin Holder

Paden City Deep Amber Glass #210 Napkin Holder

COMPANY / MAKER: The Paden City Glass Company ITEM: #210 Napkin Holder CIRCA: 1930s COLOR: Deep Amber MEASUREMENT: 4" H - 4" W. CONDITION: This pretty seldom found napkin / stationary holder has a simple stylized look that fits in nicely with many Depression Era patterns. It is in Undamaged Condition without chips, or cracks. This piece was made by the Paden City Glass Company. As is true with most kitchen or utility pieces, these napkin holders were rather crudely made. They are beautiful, but they have large uneven mold seams. I have collected Napkin Holders for years and love the look. If you collect these napkin holders you have to expect to find this. Amber color napkin holders are hard to find. This is a deep amber. It would be a really great addition to a Paden City or kitchenware collection. Learn More
