CONDITION: This stunning mayonnaise bowl is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. It is a beautiful and clean piece --- The color is wonderful. Alexandrite items change color when moved from natural lighting to fluorescent lighting.
Empress #1401 (1930 - 1938) (Crystal, Flamigo, Moongleam, Sahara, Cobalt, Alexandrite, Tangerine) - Empress is one of Heisey's most beloved pattern blanks. This striking shape can be found in an array of colors. The number of pieces available in this pattern makes it the perfect pattern to use with your fine china. The possibilities are limitless. There are numerous serving bowls, platters, plates, and trays. Accessory pieces such as compotes, candies, candlesticks, jugs, vases and stemware are available as well. Pieces of this beautiful blank are often found with Heisey etchings. Note: In 1938 Empress was modified and a internal optic was added to the design. The pattern was reintroduced as Queen Ann #1509. Queen Ann was only made in crystal. The Queen Ann pattern stayed in production until 1957 when it was discontinued.
