Condition: Our pretty pink Manhattan footed compote is in UNDAMAGED CONDITION (like new) without chips or cracks. It is free of disfiguring mold or production imperfections. We have checked all the ridges on this compote and have found them to be damage free. -

Note: This is the old style Manhattan compote. A new restyled compote was also produced by Anchor Hocking and released under the name PARK AVENUE. The Park Avenue compote was not part of the original 1938 - 1943 Manhattan line and it was not made in the pink color. Park Avenue was introduced in 1987.

Manhattan -(1938-1943) (Pink, Crystal, Green, Ruby, Iridized)

The Hocking Glass Company began production of the Deco pattern, Manhattan during the Depression Era. This striking pattern is most often found in crystal, but a fairly complete set of pink may also be found. The tumbler is the only piece found in green and iridescent. The pitcher and inserts are found in Ruby. Pieces are sometimes found with metal ormulu handles or mounts.
