They were most often found displayed in Drug Stores, Ice Cream Shops, and Diners. This lovely piece is in excellent shape and is a pretty desirable light green color. The glass parts of this awesome piece are in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. The inside of the straw holder is nice and clean. There are a couple of straw ( shear marks at the bottom of the jar), which is common on this size piece from this time period. I collect straw holders and all of mine have shear marks. 9. McKee / Sneath WMG Hard to Find Refrigerator Water Cooler / Dispenser RARE

McKee / Sneath WMG Hard to Find Refrigerator Water Cooler / Dispenser RARE

Company Maker: Sneath Glass Company or McKee - Item: Water Dispenser Color: White Milk Glass - Circa: Early 1900s / 1930s - Category: Kitchen Glassware - Backstamp / Labels: None - Item Condition: We are pleased to offer for sale this seldom seen Depression Era white milk glass Water Cooler /Dispenser. This piece is in great shape. The glass parts are in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. The metal part is in great shape too. All McKee water coolers use this style spigot. The rubber gasket has hardened with age and would need to be replaced if you were actually going to use this piece. There is a small area where some sand was caught in the glass. It has left a small blackish area (please see the photo). This dispenser has been found in White Milk Glass, Jadite, and crystal. It has also been found in crystal with a jade lid. That would cause one to think this was a Mckee product. However, the dispenser lid differs from the known McKee dispenser round lids in size. It is slightly smaller. Sneath made a similar water dispense in a clambroth green, crystal and a clambroth color which is the same dimension as the one shown here. The confirmed Sneath cooler does not have the stylish embossed pattern and comes with a different syle spigot. Until one of these dispensers is found with its original information we are not sure who to attribute this hard to find water cooler to. Learn More

  10. Mckee Tulip Vase Third Panel Sheriffs Jury New York, Sterling Overlay

Mckee Tulip Vase Third Panel Sheriffs Jury New York, Sterling Overlay

Company Maker: The McKee Glass Company - Item: Tuip Vase with Sterling Overlay Third Panel Sheriffs Jury New York - Circa: 1937 - 1942 - Color: Crystal Satin with Silver Overlay - Measurement: 8 7/8" H. - 7 1/4" W. - Marks: Marked Sterling near the bottom of the Urn Decoration. The urn decoration appears on 3 sides of the vase. The fourth side of the vase has the Third Panel Jury Symbol with a Eagle on Top. The words "III Panel Sheriff's Jury" are incised into the design. - Condition: Over the years, altered versions of this beautiful tulip vase have been made by many companies. This exact vase was made by The McKee Glass Company from 1937 - 1942 which dates this lovely piece. The vase is shown in Sandra Stout's book " The Complete Book of McKee Glass" on page 100. This original catalog reprint leaves no doubt as to who made this piece. McKee sold the vase under their name without the sterling decoration. At some point they were commissioned to make the vase for the Third Panel Sheriff's Jury. It is unclear whether McKee added the Silver Overlay. It is more likely that a decorating company added the silver. For more information about the 3rd Panel Jury please check out the brief history below. This outstanding vase is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. The vase is marked sterling in several different places. The sterling overlay is intact and perfect. Learn More
