Item Condition: We are offering for sale a hard to find child's Bead and Scroll pattern glass butter dish.  This lovely piece is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage.  The butter is perfect but we would like to note that it does have a large bubble in the top near the bottom edge. Bead and Scroll -(1890) (Dark Green, Dark Blue, Crystal, Amber, Red Flashed)

Bead and Scroll is thought to have been made by the U.S. Glass Company circa 1890 although no catalog proof exists at this time.  The pieces were crudely made, meaning that they had inherit flaws in the glass such as sheer marks, bubbles, and tiny stress lines. Sometimes ash or sand was caught within the glass and is visible.  These manufactor flaws are the norm and are mearly the way that glass was produced during this time period.  Finding perfect pieces of early Child's pattern glass is difficult, due to both age and wear.
