Quick Overview

Company: The Great American Tea Company -
Item: Trade (advertising) Card Bull Dog and His Owner -
Circa: Late 1800s Early 1900s -
Description / About: Great American Advertising Card - 5" H. - 3" W. -

Condition: This amusing trade card was distributed by the Great American Tea Company. It shows how much dogs and their owners sometimes look alike. It promotes their coffee and teas and states that their 3rd best grade products are most likely better than other companies best. The card is in nice shape, but it does have wear. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTOS. They are part of our description. They were carefully taken and show the card in detail. The card is old and is somewhat yellowed. The color on the back is quite splotchy and is darkened in areas. The shape of the card is slightly off kilter, and may have been cut down slightly at some point. Since it has darkened evenly, this may not be the case. The card edges are worn, and it is soft on the corners. One corner is bent. The colors are vivid on the printed front side. For a card that is over 100 years old it has survived amazingly well.
